I have spent a couple of hours trying to fine-tune the blog. This has been a great learning experience! I have added a few links to other blogs and resources that I like. I have also added a few photo albums showing some of the things I am working on. If you have any suggestions please let me know as I am definitely new to this.
On to my current projects. I have been working on Noro Knits Myrtle for about two weeks. I am about 27" into the back piece:
I am using Noro's Silk Garden, color #82, purchased from Wool Needle Works. At this point it is being worked in basic stockinette. I have about 4" before starting the moss stitch pattern and shaping for the sleeves.
Also on the knitting needles is a sock from a knit-along that I am doing with Miyon and Kris. This is the pattern I am using for basic socks... it is worked from the cuff down.
I have turned the heel and am now working on the gusset. Kris and Miyon are using this pattern and are way on their way to finishing their first socks! Their pattern is worked from the toe up, here is Kris' sock and here is Miyon's sock. We may be almost done with the first sock... but we still have to do the other! I think we would all agree that working two socks at the same time could possibly be better than working one!
Future projects include Rowan's Fitted Rib Bodice Pullover as well as Rowan's Cotton Tape Shingle Cardi. Erika and I are going to do Shingle as a knit-along in the near future. We have been trying to keep our eyes open for a good resource for Cotton Tape... The best stockists seem to be in the UK. I purchased Elann's Peruvian Collection Quechua in charcoal gray for the Rowan Pullover. Barring a purchase of Cotton Tape, the pullover will most likely be next on my needles after Myrtle.
