Sorry for the hiatus... I was in Nashville, TN for an extended Thanksgiving trip. But, I'm back... and back at it!
Before leaving last week, I sewed up a Thank You Gift for Mom. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty for me lately, and I wanted to give her a token of my appreciation.
Mom had been eyeing a certain Thelma Bag I made earlier in the year, so I decided she needed one of her own:
Pattern: Favorite Things, Thelma Knitting Bag pattern.
Fabric: Purchased from Joann's.
Alterations: The interfacing for the band and handles was switched out for a lighter weight. I used the fleece interfacing for the body of the bag only.
Impressions: The second bag went much more smoothly than the first. I am still wishing for a walking foot as it would make it even easier.
Finished Dimensions: Unzipped - 19.5" wide by 19.5" long; Zipped - 19.5" wide and 11" long.
I wanted to show some more details of the inside, so here are a few more pictures:
Inside view, unzipped
Inside view, bottom folded up to match zipper to make bag smaller
Inside and outside views, zipped up
Mom loves it, and I'm sure she'll get a lot of use out of it.
