The thought of starting another 1x1 ribbing sleeve last night made me want to stick the needles in my eyeballs...
So instead I decided to try something new, something I've wanted to try for awhile, something with some kind of instant gratification...
Crochet with beads and wire!
It just took me the evening to whip up this beauty.
I used Nancie Wiseman's Crochet with Wire as a guide and created this three strand necklace. There is one purple strand, one silver strand, then an additional silver chain strand with purple-ish beads. The closures are magnetic, and since the necklace is really not heavy at all, it finished it off perfectly!
It took some practice using the wire as "the yarn", and my left index finger is a little sore from the ordeal, but I think the results are worth it:
Okay, enough diversions. I promise to get cracking on that last sleeve tonight!
