A trip to Massachusetts...
A trip to Tennessee...
A move to a bigger house...
Where has the time gone?!?
Christmas is next week - and the last time I posted was Halloween? Wow.
Needless to say, A LOT has been going on in these parts. We took a trip to MA and saw Kris and Brad.
It was just a wee-bit cold! Jake's bundled up in his teddy-pram.
Look mom! My feet!!
We then headed to TN for Thanksgiving with my parents.
The hand-knit sweater is a gift from Cora. Doesn't Jake look cute in it?
Jake was quite a trooper on the airplane trips - five in total in the span of two-and-a-half weeks. He did really well, considering he was five months old.
Then we moved.
Talk about complete craziness. Luckily we splurged and hired packers and movers. It was a rough couple of days, but it's beginning to feel like home. My grandmother came to town and helped us unpack the kitchen areas, and my mom is in town now helping us unpack the playroom/craft-room, as well as help me organize my stash - both fabric and yarn. Not to mention, I got all of the yarn stash up on Ravelry - yea!
Jake is growing up so fast. He just turned six months old, and is currently 19 pounds 9 oz, and 27.5 inches long! He's one solid baby boy!!
Anyway, six months is a great age. Jake is really interactive and is able to entertain himself for longer periods of time... okay, only like 20 minutes at a time, but I'll take it! We've started the weaning process (which has been a little rough on many fronts), started solids (okay, just rice cereal), and teething.
I hate teething.
My poor lil guy just cries out in pain, and it just breaks my heart. I need to keep baby orajel in hand at all times. But on the flip side, we see a tooth coming in.
The only bonus of teething are teething biscuits. Jake gets his while I eat dinner... he has just way too much fun with it!
It's just so yummy mommy!
Anyway, I have been knitting... I have a new craft room set up... hopefully I will get some more time in the next couple of weeks for some updates. Until then, Happy Holidays!
