Is it okay to be relieved that this top finally needs to be hemmed??
Pressing, then slip-stitch hemming. I can do this handwork in front of the TV, so this should be done in a day or so.
Now we move onto something new. Yippee!!
Honey Girl. She's a shirred dress pattern. I've made one already, a shirred dress that is, (perhaps to be posted in the future, one that I stumbled and made work), so it will be nice to use an actual pattern. That has directions. So I don't have to think too much!
The fabric is a batik, mostly purple/plum with some blue and green tones. The picture does not do it justice.
I want to get in this one, and a couple more "summer" type pieces, done before fall hits full swing. At the same time, I might be able to get this to transition into the next season. Wondering if I accent with some lace? And maybe make some kind of cardigan or jacket in black? What do you think?
