Pattern: New Look 6866, a heavily altered version from the first one I made. I also whipped up another Heather Bailey headband out of the scraps.
Fabric: Three yards of tropical print cotton shirting ($4.99/yd).
Alterations: As I was going for a fitted sundress, there were many alterations. First I altered the crew-neck to a v-neck in the front. Then cut a smaller size for the waist and hips. I then had to take in more on the side and back seams.
I made the tie ends of the headband longer, a very simple task while cutting out the fabric.
Cost: Fabric - $14.97. The pattern and thread came from the stash. Total - $14.97.
Impressions: This sundress turned out really great. I was already familiar with the pattern, and since it was pretty easy the first time around there were no surprises.
I wore this outfit to our anniversary dinner at Roy's in Kahana while visiting Maui :)
Very pretty...the perfect setting!

I know exactly where that photo was taken! We visited HI in April and I have photos of that same place. I can tell that your dress was perfect for the weather. Hopefully you will get back there again soon!
