Jacket Progress

The last few evenings have been all about the muslin for this New Look jacket (the one on the model):

Normally I forgo the muslin step and make adjustments as I go, but in this case I wanted to make sure that the fit would be good before I cut into the garment fabric. I'm also on a tight schedule because I want to have this to wear while in Rhinebeck next week, so I don't have a lot of time for fussing around :)

I had to make a couple of adjustments on the muslin, that I then transferred to the pattern. I had a bit of time left over last night to get the real-thing cut out and started:

Not too much progress yet - just bust darts and shoulder seams. But since I've already worked out all the fitting issues, I'm hoping it will come together fairly quickly.
