Sue has some really wonderful things and this is a great opportunity to pickup some of her creations. If you are not near San Diego over the weekend, be sure to bookmark the site and check it out in a few weeks. Ellaina will continue their online sales after the move and while they are opening the new boutique. Good luck Mike and Sue in your endeavor to Portland! You will be missed!
On the crafting front (sorry for the lack of pictures, they will follow :-) ) -
Well, the Vogue Cropped Cardi has been blocked. It was a bit challenging being that it is cotton and wanting to stretch all over the place! I am hoping to have time over the weekend to seam it up and maybe attempt the crochet edging. Wish me luck - this will be my first attempt at seaming (and crocheting) a garment!
I wrapped up another Mary Ella. It being my second one, it went a bit faster and was a little more painless than the first. Don't get me wrong, I still had my issues with stitches popping off the needles, and at one point, my cat deciding he wanted one of the needles and, while patiently waiting for me to turn around, he made off with one of them leaving my work behind! Needless to say, I had the pleasure of fighting him for it back and then frogging back to pick up the stitches he so kindly ripped out for me! Little bastard! (And I mean that as affectionately as I can - it was really kind of funny and cute).
A package came in the mail a couple of days ago.... from the UK! It had in it the Rowan Cotton Tape Kris and I ordered in Glint. Yippee! Shingle here we come! Erika and I need to decide when we are going to start our Shingle Knit-A-Long... (anyone want to join us in a Cotton-Tape-A-Long??)...
I have been neglecting Myrtle lately - it has just been so warm here, the last thing I want to do is knit with wool. I am thinking I will have to crank up the a/c to be able to finish it up. It will be especially difficult to dedicate myself to it being that I now have the cotton tape in hand that will create a garment I can actually wear *now* - I have a feeling that I will not be able to wear Myrtle until the fall! Bummer.
I am so excited - it is looking like a couple of friends (Heidi and Marriah) and I have plans to scrapbook on Sunday. That is sooo cool... it has been forever since we have done so (we used to have a weekly "date"). The plans are still in the works, but it looks like we will be scrapping at Cool Scrapbook Stuff. They have just moved to a larger location that none of us have been to yet. Lots of scrapbooking shall be had!
